This just happened:

Organizing for Action
Joe --

They say you're probably not supposed to write emails when you're upset. (Oh well...)

Just a few hours ago, the Senate failed to move forward on a bill that would raise the federal minimum wage for millions of workers.

Think about that -- here's something that more than seven in 10 Americans support, and yet it's somehow too controversial for a body that was elected to represent those people. That's truly horrible.

But frustration doesn't get us anywhere if it doesn't translate into taking action.

That's why we're launching a petition to show just how many Americans refuse to back down on this issue. Sign our petition today, and demand that our lawmakers raise the minimum wage.

Over the years, the federal minimum wage has not kept pace with the rising costs of basic necessities for working families -- today, it's worth even less than it was in the early 1980s.

By voting against increasing the minimum wage, these 41 senators are basically telling millions of Americans that they don't deserve a raise.

If you're like me, and refuse to accept that this is something we can't change, your signature belongs on this petition today:

Thanks,

Nico
